This hotel is a former bank. Yes I know I said the room was squalid but the rest of the hotel is impressive. I won’t put photos of my room on here but will put photos of the hotel main areas.
It’s a lovely hotel, full of what you would think as typical China. The public areas have so much that is quintessentially Chinese. I would recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. It is less than 800 metres from Tienanmen Square’s security entrance via a few subways. It’s closer still to Qianmen metro station.
Two of the staff in the hotel. These two, Jack and Joyce speak brilliant English and are so helpful. I haven’t seen Jack without a smile on his face. Joyce walked me to a laundry and then said it was too much money for the laundry to wash and iron my clothes. She arranged for my laundry to be done for less than a quarter of the price.
Nothing has been too much for these two and I thank them for making my stay here so pleasant. Thank you Jack and Joyce.
